From the mind of Richard Kruspe (best known for being the guitar god of the legendary German act Rammstein) comes the metal act Emigrate. 2018 was privy to the release of Emigrate’s newest album, A Million Degrees, which included a slew of incredible talent such as guitarist Olsen Involtini, bassist Arnaud Giroux, live drummer Joe Letz (of Combichrist), and studio drummer Mikko Sirén (of Apocalyptica). The album also features guest spots from the likes of Rammstein’s Till Lindemann, Ghost’s Cardinal Copia, and Billy Talent’s Benjamin Kowalewicz.
Senior journalist Anabel DFlux had the pleasure of catching up with Richard during his Los Angeles visit earlier this week, and the two had a lovely conversation about all things revolving around Emigrate (and even a few snippets on what is to come with the explosive Rammstein). From A Million Degrees‘s production to the heartwarming sentimentality behind the band’s music video You Are So Beautiful, you’ll hear it all in the interview below!
