From states far and wide come The Audiodacity, a new rock trio consisting of Billy Grey (Fozzy), Dusty Winterrowd (Alelle), and Marcus Davis (Ph8/Methods of Mayhem). The band is currently completing work on their full-length debut album and is scheduled to begin touring in 2019. RockRevolt journalist Joe Koza recently caught up with drummer Dusty Winterrowd to discuss the band’s members, touring, and more.
The list of names that make up The Audiodacity is no joke. How did you guys meet?
Billy and I had been in a previous project together called CyberStar and decided to put a band together. A mutual friend put us in touch with Marcus and things just took off from there.
What was the inspiration behind the band name? It has a unique ring to it.
We wanted a name that was bold and represented our sound. We wanted a name that did not hold into any certain sound. Something limitless.
Was the decision to record and release “Bridges Burned” ahead of your debut album obvious? What does the track mean to you?
We definitely wanted to drop this and let people know we are here and to look for us. We recorded it with Producer Matt Good and we are excited to let people hear it. To me, the song represents life lessons. There is a time for everything. There are also results of every decision you make, good or bad.
How soon can fans expect to see The Audiodacity on the road?
We are working things out as we speak and making plans to be hitting stages to support an EP the 1st of the year.
What do you hope to accomplish with this project?
To have something we are all proud of and that people want to attach themselves to. We want it to move people and we want to bring it live and loud to many, many stages!
If you could create a “dream tour”, which other bands would you want to hit the road with and why?
For me, Bullet For My Valentine, Asking Alexandria, and In Flames would make me giddy!
