Who are you and what is your role in the band?
I am Reid Henry, I sing & play guitar in Deadset Society.
How did the band get started?
I had been writing and collecting songs for my imaginary band for some time before meeting Mike [Langford] who eventually produced the record.
Who are your influences and how do they play a role in your sound?
My influences vary from hard rock like Tool, Deftones & Smashing Pumpkins, to classic rock like Black Sabbath & Rush all the way to Depeche Mode. The combination of rock, pop & metal has definitely helped defined my writing style.
What has been your most meaningful experience being in this band so far?
Having the pleasure of playing our music to people around the world on tour.
Favorite memory from a show you’ve played or a place you’ve travelled?
I love the desert, we’ve spent the year so far touring the US… anytime we’re in the desert I just stare out the window.
What do you hope to accomplish with your music?
I we can stop one person from taking their own life, or inspiring one not to give up its worth it.
Something about you that no one knows?
I shave my own head haha.
What is next for the band?
We will be on tour supporting our record “Destroy & Rebuild” for the duration of the year. Come see a show!
