Chevelle bring their fire and passion to The Uptown Theater in Kansas City

July 26th The Uptown Theater played host to a night of straight up Rock and Roll.  Chevelle stopped by the Kansas City theater along with their friends in Black Map and Dinosaur Pile up.  At the start of the night the crowd seemed pretty sparse, but by the time Chevelle hit the stage the floor of the historical theater was packed to the gills.  As the music started out of the sound system all I could remember was my nose was vibrating like it never had before, the bass filling the theater was a tremendous thundering, throbbing as the band took to the stage and let loose with “Another Know It All”  and followed up with “The Clincher.”  Smooth, tight and just full on powerful is the best way to describe the show that was played out before us.  Chevelle looked as if they were fully charged and ready to deliver the fans of the Uptown Theater something they have never seen from them before.  New and old favorites rolled through the hour and a half performance.  Songs like “Vitamin R” and “Rivers” took the crowd back and forth through a time line that has now spanned 20 years.  With the fire and passion that was on display, I see 20 more years easily for the fellas of Chevelle.
