The modern-day Renaissance man is back, and this time, he set the atmosphere for the night during the Los Angeles date of the Graveyard Shift tour with Motionless in White, Miss May I, and the Amity Affliction. mastermind William Francis created William Control out of the stroke of genius in his own mind. With lyrics epitomizing the very literary and poetic nature of its creator. The music is always eloquently written, with a dance flare that has the power to elicit a response from everyone.
William Control’s live performances are as visual as they are audible, with each performer bringing an explosive amount of energy to the stage. The charismatic, passionate, and flawless stage show makes this musical project hard to forget. William Control has a power over the room that is difficult to adequately describe, as one can easily become absolutely enchanted with the performance. From William Francis throwing and catching his microphone with an enviable ease, to keyboardist Crilly Ashes doing daring stunts over his instrument, this was certainly a sight to witness. Drummer Nick Rossi kept the beat going with an electrifyingly enthusiastic performance, and Kenneth Fletcher on guitar certainly riveted the audience with his talents. Ian MacWilliams absolutely rocked out on his side of the stage, truly getting into the music he was playing.
The set list was as delightful as you can imagine it to be, running through the band’s best known sounds to new music off of the band’s series of EP releases. Four EP albums will be released in total (titled Pale, Black, Red, and White) that will cumulatively create the record, Revelations.
With senior journalist Anabel DFlux’s many years of capturing William Control in front of her lens, the photographer took to a different perspective for this show- from the stage.
