Tree’s in Dallas, TX, was the site of another great night of Rock and Roll. On May 6th, Nonpoint rolled into the Deep Ellum with Hinder, Nine Shrines, and Chrysalis. Touring in support of their latest album, The Poison Red, Nonpoint has been on a nonstop touring cycle that will end mid-June, and according to Elias Soriano, he is ready for some well-deserved time with his family.
The smaller stage at Tree’s stifled the ability for the guys to move around as much as they usually like to, but they did not let that stop them from giving all the energy they had to the fans. With a band that has been around the scene for as long as Nonpoint has, hearing some of the older songs can always bring back those older memories of the first time you heard the song or even seen the band live. Tracks like “What A Day” and “Victim” took the Tree’s crowd all the way back to the beginning, while songs like “My Last Dying Breath” and “Generation Idiot” brought them all to the here and now. It was a night of just good old fashioned in-your-face rock with their amazing cover of “In the Air Tonight” and ending it all with “Bullet with a Name.”
