The next band up, one stage over, was Beartooth. Beartooth will no doubt have a place set aside for them in Metal History. They have a perfect balance of Thrash Metal and melodic singing by Caleb Shomo and bass player Oshie Bichar. Beartooth is one of those bands that gets your fists shaking and your feet off the ground. They reeled in the audience right off the bat with “The Lines”. They are a laid back band, that doesn’t have to try too hard because playing music is second nature to them, and were having as much fun as we were. They certainly weren’t dull, so people would want to do more than just listen to their albums; they would buy their concert tickets as well. Beartooth, as were a lot of other bands, were touring to support their new album, Disgusting. We were lead out with “Body Bag,” and we were all singing along on this. It was a newer song, but people were already memorizing it. Shomo joked about plugging their new album and bid us adieux. The audience was sold. They were bitten by the Bear.
